Following in the footsteps of the regular Lotus Evora GT430— the British manufacturer’s most powerful road-going version ever–Lotus has added a more recent, much quicker, version to its own positions: the 2018 Lotus Evora GT430 Sport.
Powered by the same supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine generating 320kW of power at 7000rpm and 440Nm of torque at 4500rpm, the 2018 Lotus Evora GT430 Sport takes the regular Evora GT430 and simplifies matters much further.
Stripped of this normal Evora GT430’s “downforce-creating aerodynamic components”, Lotus says the new Evora GT430 Sport will match its own non-Sport sibling in hitting 100km/h in 3.8 seconds (in six-speed manual trimming) but may wind out beyond the GT340’s high rate of 305km/h and on 315km/h, “which makes it the quickest Lotus production automobile”.
